Howard Pierce - Chief Executive OfficerIn his role as Chief Executive Officer, Howard Pierce has the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of PKC. In addition to playing a major role in the evolution of PKC products, he is involved in the marketing and sale of those products to both military and commercial markets. Mr. Pierce is an original investor in PKC, and assumed the role and responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer of PKC in December 1992. He has held that position and served on PKC's board since that time. Mr. Pierce consults on healthcare technology and related issues in the federal, state, and employer sectors. He is a graduate of Franklin College, Vezia, Switzerland.
Kurt Liebegott - Chief Financial OfficerKurt Liebegott is Chief Financial Officer of PKC Corporation and has been with the company since 1998. As CFO, Kurt is responsible for the financial, accounting, human resource, business development, and commercial sales efforts in the company. Prior to joining PKC, Kurt worked in finance for Kendall Healthcare, the healthcare division of Tyco International, during a period of rapid expansion and acquisition within that division of the conglomerate. Kurt began his career in public accounting at KPMG serving clients principally in the healthcare, banking, insurance, and manufacturing industries. Kurt has a B.A. from Saint Michaels College, an M.B.A. from RPI and is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently serves on the board of directors of KidSafe Collaborative, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the community's response to child abuse and neglect.
Brian Culver - Senior Director for ContentBrian Culver joined PKC in 1999 and currently serves as the Senior Director for Content. In this role he oversees the teams that develop and release medical and custom content solutions. He started his career at PKC providing customer support, training, and developing custom content. Brian is a graduate of The University of Vermont and worked in the student loan, higher education, and healthcare industries before joining PKC. He volunteers as a mentor through the Mobius Mentoring Program and Spectrum Youth and Family Services.
Bill Delaney - Managing Director, Washington, DC OfficeBill Delaney runs PKC's Washington, D.C. office and has been working at PKC since 1999. In his role as Managing Director, Bill is responsible for PKC's extensive work with the Department of Defense, as well as business development efforts for other federal agencies. Prior to PKC, Bill worked in the United States Senate for five years, spent time as a speechwriter and proposal writer, worked on a Presidential Commission examining women's roles in the military, and served as an officer in the United States Marines. He has a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from George Mason University. Board of DirectorsNordahl L. Brue - Chairman of the BoardMr. Brue is co-founder of Bruegger's Bagel Bakeries and he currently serves as board chair of Franklin Foods Inc. Mr. Brue is a board member of the Green Mountain Power Corporation, and he serves on other private corporate boards. In addition, Mr. Brue serves on the Governor's Council of Economic Advisors in Vermont and as a Trustee of the Shelburne Museum. Mr. Brue graduated from Grinnell College and he holds a J.D. from Washington University. Mr. Brue is an original PKC investor along with Mr. Pierce and he serves as a principal advisor and business strategist. David CoatesDavid Coates is a former Managing Partner of the KPMG Burlington office. He currently serves in a part-time capacity as the Executive Vice President of the New England Culinary Institute. Since retiring from public accounting, he now serves on several boards including National Life Insurance, Green Mountain Power, Union Mutual Fire Insurance, A.N. Deringer, and Primary Health Care Partners. Mr. Coates serves the State of Vermont as a Member of the Vermont Bond Bank, The Debt Affordability Committee, and the Governors Council of Economic Advisors. Richard B. Yules, M.D.Dr. Yules is a consultant and member of numerous boards in the medical and biotechnology arena. He is a retired Brigadier General and ANG Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. In addition he serves on the Board of Directors of Theraphysics, as Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and as Advisor to Correctional Medical Services. Dr. Yules is retired as the Managing Director of Haelen Medical Center, the Chairman of the Worcester City Hospital EENT Department, and as an FAA Class I AME and Senior Crash Investigator. He has held numerous NSF grants and published over 50 manuscripts including 4 books. Dr. Yules was educated at Yale University where he received both his BS and MD degrees. He completed his surgical residencies at Stanford and Harvard and maintains a Harvard Medical School position as the MSLO. Richard E. TarrantRichard Tarrant is the latest member of the PKC board of directors. Mr. Tarrant has a long history of involvement with healthcare software innovation. In 1969 he co-founded the IDX Corporation, one of the world's largest medical software companies. IDX clinical and financial software is run in 80% of our nation's teaching hospitals. In 2005, IDX was sold to GE Healthcare for $1.4B. Mr. Tarrant continues to further his vision for healthcare as founder and Chairman of Marathon Health. |
